Welcome to George Rogers and Sons Pianos

The piano-making firm of George Rogers & Sons was established in London by George Rogers in the year 1843. Between 1913 and 1947, the firm was renowned for producing the finest upright pianos made in the UK. Rogers were usually the first choice of educational establishments such as the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, the Guildhall College, and Trinity College, all in London. In particular, the large 'Model 6' upright stands head and shoulders, tonaly, above other British uprights of its day. In 1924, Rogers acquired the piano-making firm of J & J Hopkinson, and moved its own production into the old Hopkinson factory (a listed building of architectural interest) which still stands at 44 Fitzroy Road, Primrose Hill, London.
